Many diseases can cause skin problems, allergic skin lesions. In all cases, consult a dermatologist if you notice any skin changes, e.g. redness, rash, itching, as they can be caused by serious internal organs, in extreme cases, cancers.
The purpose of the general dermatological control study is, among other things, to follow up on previous dermatological consultations, treatments, to examine the results, to monitor the healing of skin diseases and to determine the need for any further treatments. In addition, the examination of the previously examined moles and the monitoring of the lesions are also part of the control examination.
The control examination takes place in the dermatology office of our medical center, during which our specialists follow the previous examinations, check the effectiveness of the therapy, and recommend its continuation, replacement or discontinuation if necessary. In case of chronic (eg eczema, psoriasis) or autoimmune diseases, additional control tests are even recommended.Depending on the complaint, it may be necessary to examine the affected area of skin during the follow-up examination and, if necessary, to take samples from the area. The dermatological control study ends with a discussion between the doctor and the patient, where the specialist suggests further treatment or other necessary testing.
Important!
If you appear in the follow-up examination as a result of a previous examination, please always bring your previous outpatient sheets, the results of any imaging examinations, and your final reports.
It is definitely worth visiting a dermatological examination half a year, even if you have no complaints. Nowadays, our skin is exposed to a lot of UV radiation. Skin cancer unfortunately occupies a leading position among malignant tumors, although a disease recognized in time can even save lives!
